Jericho DVD....

I hate cable, there's too much garbage and even commercials are trashy.I dropped cable and we buy dvds.I have wanted to see Jericho for a long time and this last weekend saw the season 1 dvd set and bought it.Oh my gosh!!!We're addicted and guess what?CBS dropped the show, last night was the last episode, figures, everytime I like something it disappears. But,if you see the dvd set,buy it,it's awesome.Besides actually having a plot and character development,it teaches many things about what to do in emergency situations and such.I'm going onto the CBS site and tell them how stupid it is to drop the show, they said ratings were lower than expected. They have a huge fanbase, but the timeslot was 10:00 on Tuesdays,a very bad timeslot.

Strawberry smoothie...

I have this everyday, because besides being addicting, they're healthy. The amounts are to your taste,I just pour things in,so you can adjust.I also use tropicana vitamin d with calcium orange juice,it's so healthy.I place 6-8 frozen strawberries in a blender,banana,1/2 to 1 cup of dannon vanilla yogurt,3/4 to 1 cup orange juice and blend.

Easter...

I hope everyone is having a safe and peaceful holiday. We have spent this day together at home.Watched grandson awhile and he helped,(I say that loosely ;o) ),make white cupcakes with pink icing and colored sprinkles on top. They ofcourse turned out very interesting, short and tall and icing did wonders to cover up.So,off he went home with Mama with cupcakes, topped with icing that's been half stripped with finger swipes and totally covered in sprinkles he poured on them.MM...

He got mad at me at one point, because he couldn't go in the kitchen while I was cleaning. He had been spooning the batter into cupcakes and was shaking off the spoon over him, floor and table to put more batter into spoon. He had a two year old tantrum, which they do when told no to anything.I ofcourse told him if he didn't behave I would call his Dad and he talks too well for a two year old, said he was, himself, going to call his Dad and he wanted Mama to pick him up.He grabbed his shoes and had the nerve to ask me to put them on him.LOLOLOLOLOL I said,"Give me those shoes, you aren't turning this around,I'm calling your Dad to tell on you,not you calling him to tell on me.hahahhahaaaaa I told him his Daddy is my baby boy and he wouldn't be allowed in the kitchen when I was cleaning either. So he huffed off to the living room with his aunt. Two minutes later he tells me he loves me and gives kisses and hugs.Ah,the joys of Nannahood. :o)

Friday before Easter...

Well,my husband was off today and thank God!We went to Michael's,I got yarn and Target,we got the new movie,"Enchanted".It's a great little movie... We laughed alot,it's so good to see movies that actually are funny without all the mess.We also picked up "Underdog",husband and daughter liked that one and I got "Breakfast at Tiffany's".So,we had a good day not going far,got some food, made hotdogs wrapped them in cheese and put them in crescent rolls. We're having movie night with popcorn and white chocolate chips.

USB saga...

The tech at Polaroid said they'd send me an usb cord in 5-7 business days so we'll see.Molly!!!!!

Puppies...

Okay,I love our little Molly, but tonight I was surfing online and all of a sudden there were sparks and a zap!!!My usb cord and speaker cord were blackened, along with a spot on the carpet, okay,so after my initial shock thinking I might be on my way to heaven,I investigated what actually happened.

I called around to find a polaroid usb cord and will have to either try to match up a universal one or order from polaroid, sucks,I just got the camera and the speakers needless to say are in the garbage.Little Molly, the terrible, ate through the speaker cord and when the usb end that plugs into the camera hit the open wire,it zapped!!!

Soooo, throughout the history of puppyhood there probably has not been a puppy that hasn't chewed and destroyed something, unfortunately it was a cord I needed to upload pictures,so hopefully it won't take long to get the cord.I will keep you all informed.

So to get a good laugh tonight we are watching Buckaroo Bonzai,we love that movie,"So remember,no matter where you go,there you are."I wanted to send out the Blue Blazer regulars after Molly, but that would have been a bit overboard,LOL,although at the time,I wanted to choke her little doggie neck. But,she's so cute and looks at you with those big brown puppy eyes, what are ya gonna do?And why didn't they make another Buckaroo movie anyway? How many millions of times have people asked that question???I don't know anyone that doesn't love that movie.Laugha while you can, monkey boy.

Working on right now...

I'm crocheting some dishtowels and washclothes.I use the sugar and cream yarn,it's cotton. Here's a pic of the colors and the ball of sugar and cream.I'm using the wheel pattern.I was going to give you the url for the pattern, but it apparantly no longer works,so,here's the wheel pattern:
The Wheel Pattern:

Round 1:Chain 9,slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.Chain 3,Make 15 dc stitches into the ring.Slip stitch into the third chain of the original chain-3 to join the round...........................................

Round 2:Chain 6,make a triple crochet stitch into the top of the next stitch.*Chain 2,triple crochet into the next stitch.Repeat from *13 more times. Then chain 2,slip stitch into the 4th chain of the original chain-6 made at beginning of this round.(There are now 16 spaces around)............................

Round 3:Slip stitch into the next space.Chain 4,make 3 triple crochet stitches into the same space.*Make 4 triple crochet stitches into the next space.Repeat from *14 times more.Slip stitch into the 4th chain of the original chain-4 made at the beginning of the round..............................................

Round 4:Chain 3,dc into the joining space.*Chain 4,skip 3 triple crochet stitches, make 2 double crochet stitches into the next stitch.Repeat from *14 times more.Chain 4,slip stitch into the third chain of the original chain -3 made at the beginning of this round...........................................................

Round 5:Chain 3,dc into the joining space.Ch 3,make 2 dc stitches into the next stitch.*Single crochet over the ch-4 loop,2 dc into the next stitch,ch 3,2 dc into the next stitch.Repeat from *14 times more. Then sc over the last ch-4 loop.Slip stitch into the 3rd ch of the original ch-3 made at the beginning of the round.Cut yarn, leaving a 6" end.Weave the end into the back of the motif........

Joining Motifs and Creating Filler Pattern:The motifs can each be completed separately, then sewn together at the adjoining two points,as shown in the pattern at top of this page.Or,motifs can be joined together while crocheting the last round.First, complete one motif entirely. Then in working the last round on subsequent motifs, join as follows:When doing the "chain3"to form a point on the currently worked motif, chain 1,slip stitch into the ch-3 space on the second motif, then ch-1 again and continue with the 2 dc on the current motif(according to the pattern-round 5).Do the same on the next point, joining it to the matching ch-3 sp on the second motif.follow this technique and create an entire strip of motifs. Then create a second strip similarly, and use the "sewing technique"to attach the matching points of the two strips together.

Once all the desired motifs have been crocheted and joined, create the filler pattern as follows.(Note:This pattern will be done in every large space that exists at the joining of four motifs. There will be 2 points on each of the joined motifs-8 points total-that will have to be "filled in and joined"via the special filler pattern).

Chain 5,slip stitch into the first chain to form a ring.Do 8 sc stitches into the ring.*Chain 4 slip stitches into the chain-3 point of a motif, chain 4,slip stitch into the sc of the filler pattern.Repeat from * seven more times, creating a chain that connects to every one of the 8 points.

Bunnies are among us...

I read a story online made by this woman a number of years ago.She had a whole series of stories about a young woman living in the upper room of her little tearoom. She went into detail of how the woman would wake up in the morning light her fireplace, put on her pink houserobe and little pink bunny slippers.I loved those stories and have wanted bunny slippers for years.I haven't been able to find any,but on Christmas morning my daughter in law gave me these as a present...

Molly Polly Holly...

My daughter's jack russell is the cutest puppy ever..
There comes a time when enough is enough...

Rain,rain,rain...

I love trees, took a pic of this tree in my logo out of my bedroom window. It's cozy and warm in here, chilly and cold outside.

Just because...

I was in a whatever mood today, rolled up my pantlegs, put my hair on top of my head into a ponytail.I made some blueberry muffins, forgot about them and they cooked for about 15 minutes longer, whatever and so I put them in a ziploc bag to make them a little softer.I always do that with my banana bread, ziplocs keeps the moisture in and it's not so dry. Here's a little pazazz for your banana bread, instead of white sugar, use brown sugar, throw in some cinnamon,mm,mm,use three bananas instead of two.

Just playing with my camera...

If you look at the photo on top of the bookshelf,it's a painting of Mount Vernon.I got it at a giftshop there,it's actually a postcard.I just framed it.
I love my old singer sewing machine.I don't know what the spots on this china cabinet pic,I think I need to clean my camera lenses, showed up on the curtains below, also.Wierd,do,do,do,do,I've heard of faint ghosts appearing in pics, but I have spots.
We went to a little antique place I love and my husband wanted this huge copper tray. Now,I love copper, but I hate this god awful huge tray. So,since he likes going with me and indulges my whims ;) I didn't want to discourage his taste, ahem,so anyway,I found a use for it.I decided on putting some everyday eating items,my red currier platter and sugarbowl on the table.I'm going to buy an artist paint swivel tray to make the platter a lazy susan on the table.I'll just cover the swivel tray with a doiley and you'll never know.I can do this now that I only have one child at home and we only use half the table for the three of us.

My new little blue and white precious, her name is Snow, the other one Angel and some of my Blue Willow plates from my collection.
