Sun Dishtowel

This crocheted sun dishtowel or whatever you want to use it for is made out of cotton yarn, easy to wash up.I was playing around with a sun motif look and came up with this.I kind of over explain directions,so I hope you can understand it.

Sun Dishtowel

Use Cotton yarn for dishcloths

Chain 8,join
Rnd 1: Ch3 for 1st dc,15 dc around,(16 dc)
Rnd 2: Ch 4 for first dc and a ch 1,dc,ch 1, 15 more times (16 dc)
Rnd 3: In 1st ch 1 space,ch 3 for 1st dc,2 more dc in same space.Cont around with 3 dc in each ch 1 space.(48 dc)
Rnd 4: Sc in 1st dc,ch 4 sc in 3rd dc and next dc, ch 4...Cont in pattern, around
Rnd 5: Sc in 4 ch space,hdc,2 dc,hdc,sc in each 4 chain space around

To join motifs if you look at the close up,motifs will meet at two points.Work last row(Rnd 5) around in the working motif, but to join,sc,hdc,dc, sl st in between the two dc of adjoining motif, cont as normal in working motif,dc,hdc,sc and cont around.(sc,hdc,2 dc,hdc,sc in each 4 chain space)The last motif will join at two points with two other motifs.

The middle
Ch 8,Ch3 for 1st dc,15 dc around,(16 dc)
Ch 2,sl st between the 2 dc of motif point,ch 2 and sl st in next dc of middle. Sl st into next dc,ch 2 and sl st into the next point of motif,ch 2 and sl st into next dc of middle. Cont until you've joined each point of the motifs.

Sc around the whole edge of the dishtowel.

The one I worked at the very top has a different middle than this pattern above. I have a habit of doing my own thing when I'm crocheting. :D
