Well, last week was the end of the blossoms and it's sad because they're so beautiful, but being they don't last long is I guess what makes them so special. You appreciate them while you can. I wanted to save some, so I dried out a handful, they dry out pretty and can be put with dried roses. The purple flower was on the ground, my husband had to throw it in there for me. :D

Dried Cherry Blossoms...

Enjoyed this week so much...
Here's the recipe:
Betty Crocker Yellow Cake with pudding
1 small box of instant vanilla pudding
1 (8 oz) container of sour cream
Mix the cake according to package, but mix the box of dry vanilla pudding with the cake mix. Put the sour cream,(you can use less if you want), in with the eggs and water told to be used on the box. Mix it all together. I baked mine at 350 in a bundt pan, because they make such moist cakes. Bundt pans take 40 to 45 minutes,( depending on your oven), to bake a cake and I oil it thinly before putting in the mix.
Cool cake completely
Icing:
1 box of powdered sugar mixed with one and a half tsps of vanilla, one stick of softened, not melted, butter and add enough milk, (little bit at a time) to make it the consistency you want. I think 3 Tbsps of milk to start will be good, depending on how thin or thick you want it.
Then as soon as I have the icing on cake, I sprinkle coconut all over.

Lowes Trip
We went to Lowes yesterday and got Basil, Lavendar, corn, Dahlia, Blueberries and an Orange mint. I was so excited to find the Orange mint, it was the last one. I took some photos there, it's so pretty with all the plants.

Knitted Afghan...
What I'm working on now is a knitted afghan, since I'm afghan obsessed. It's just blocks of knit and although I'm getting faster, it still seems it's taking awhile for a block. It alot uses alot of yarn, it's Patons wool yarn, a Christmas present, but it will sure be warm.
I also found out I was knitting the wrong way when I made the washclothes. I was knitting in the back of the stitch, instead of through the front. LOL I want to get good at this, because I saw some photos of knitted lace, oh my goodness, how beautiful.

Deck cleaning and planting....
We were planting flowers, onions and tomatoes in pots on our back deck Sunday. First we had to wash up the flowerpots and everything on the deck. We were doing that Spring cleaning and we had a beautiful day to do it.
We planted the onions very close, we want to see how many survive. Once they start growing we'll have to replant in other pots. It was just a handful of onions, but when we seperated them it would have planted about two or three rows in a garden. LOL I wish we had a garden, but you take what you have and do what you can with it.

Tealight jar...
I made a tealight jar with red wire this morning.

I added the heart shape out of the wire to the front.
I added the heart shape out of the wire to the front.
It's like the green floral/craft wire, but red and I believe I got it at Michaels.
