It's Snowing!!!

This beautiful Cardinal came to visit the birdfeeder on this Snowy Morning.I had to have EggNog Creamor for my coffee with my Cinnamon Raisin Bread.I love poinsettas,it's a given for the holidays
.

Then another TuftedTitmouse Bird was in the trees going after the seed.I got this pic from the upstairs window.I love my Cherry and my Maple trees,so do the birds."Look at the birds. They don't plant or harvest or store food in barns, for your heavenly Father feeds them. And aren't you far more valuable to him than they are?"Matthew 6:26

Got bored and moved the living room around by myself, getting ready for Christmas. But,we'll not put the tree up till weekend after next.I put it up last year right after Thanksgiving, when Christmas was over,I got bored with it all and wanted it normal again. Now,I'm a Christmas freak,so when I get tired of Christmas stuff up,you know it's been decorated way too long. LOL

Mrs Waddlemeyer

She got up in the tree for a change, guess she got bored.

Caught In The Act Again,LOL

Yeah,he did,and as I opened the door he quickly looked away,like I wouldn't notice.LOL

Mr. Odie Possum back again...

I always feel for the animals in the winter and on a chilly night yesterday,I saw Mr. Odie Possum on our shed roof trying to settle for the night.Yes it's true,he was out galavanting again and obviously Mrs Odie told him, with her paws on her hips, shaking her finger at him,"Just stay out as you'll wake the little ones."

My kind hearted husband,as usual the caretaker of the animals, threw him out some bananas and bread. As Mr Odie was obviously grateful he just gave us a look of content and we closed the window.

Orange Pomanders

Well,it's getting that time again and I have to help set the mood with the aromas of the holidays.we made orange pomanders.I got a bottle of whole cloves at Costco, you know I'm a Costkite,so much cheaper.

1.Some people poke holes with toothpicks before putting the cloves in,I don't.I get sore fingers towards the end, just the way I've always done it.But,for kids, good idea to make preholes.

2.First line the cloves for the ribbon position, then fill in the rest.

3.Squeeze orange just a tad,so juice will be at the top and when I sprinkle cinnamon all over orange,it will stick a little.

4.Tie on ribbon, and Oh,I love the smell of the cloves, orange and cinnamon,it makes the room smell wonderful!

5.You'll have left over cloves pieces,do this over bowls, the powder and broken pieces to in the bowl and when you sprinkle cinnamon, also. You can use this leftover for simmering or putting in potpourri.I add orange pieces with cloves, nutmeg and cinnamon for simmering in the holidays. And many times just simmer spices, around summer,I use apples and cinnamon.

Sunday Morning French Toast...

I felt in a "Little Women" mood today, see how I put the orange on the bowl keeping the food on the platter warm? :)
I love powdered sugar on my toast and at Christmas will use orange flavoring instead of vanilla and sometimes use maple flavoring.
I make my own cinnamon sugar, just save the little bears filled with honey in the store and when empty, make some cinnamon and sugar mixture.I had a little extra salt shaker, but I use it for cinnamon instead.
